TGI(A)NT!!

Which means… Thank goodness it’s (almost) nap time!

Sir Crabby Butt is now sitting at the kitchen table eating fruit and watching Elmo. I told him he has an early nap time, and that after Sesame Street he’s going to bed. I would be counting the minutes if someone had not lost the blasted remote again.

I have so much to do as soon as he naps, it is not every weekend that I get a house (almost) to myself. So, what do I have planned? Gormet coffee and a romantic movie? A hot bubble bath? A nap? Nope… because a mother’s work is never done….

While I am brewing coffee I will be starting a load of laundry, hooking up the DVR, cleaning up my room from my little helper, vacuuming and then shampooing the upstairs carpets. If I have time, maybe I will attempt a quick shower.

YAY!! Sesame Street is OVER! Time to get moving!

Sir crab butt, the angry one

Matthew has been so crabby this morning. He woke up at 7am and ONLY wanted daddy, which was not possible as daddy was trying to get some sleep. Daddy finally got up and rescued him, but only while getting ready to go. Around 9 he left with Austin and Christopher for the Taekwondo competition and Matthew had a complete meltdown. He was kicking and screaming and pounding at the door… poor little guy. In the last month he has developed full fledge separation anxiety, my poor little boy!

Someone please take me to Paradise

My husband and I have always wanted to visit someplace warm and tropical. I have been to Hawaii twice, and would love to return now that I am an adult; I would also love to take the children. Today I found a website on http://www.warmislands.com. This website is a fantastic guide; not only to Hawaii and surrounding islands, but to other locations such as the Bahamas, Bermuda, the Caribbean, Cayman Islands, Indonesia, Jamaica, Mediterranean, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, the South Pacific, and Turks and Caicos and many others (Africa, Australia, Europe, Thailand and the United States). The site is super informative and has hundreds of articles on what to do, what to see, where to eat and where to stay.

The website also gives information on individual cruise lines, as well as information on cruising, which would be so useful to someone like me who has never been on a cruise before. If all this wasn’t enough, it also lists some recipes for tropical drinks and foods; yummy! You should see the pictures on this website, they are just breathtaking.

If I were to take the children to Hawaii again, I think I would repeat the same tourist areas as my parents. I would spend a few days visiting Oahu and all the art galleries, museums, and historical sites such as Pearl Harbor. From there I would hop over to Kauai to relax on the beaches, take in the sights, and enjoy the great food.

My husband however would love to take a cruise, he said he is not picky as long as it is warm, and he is pampered. Because of his vagueness, I would probably join the forums and see what others are saying about their tropical vacation experiences. If you love to travel I would encourage you to join and share your experiences with others so they can make informed choices on where to go and what to see.

As if we are NOT big enough nerds…

We need TWO DVRs, because the one with two incoming lines is not enough. On Thursday I have two shows (CSI & Grey’s Anatomy), Bobby has one (Supernatural), and I am NOT missing CSI again! So, tonight while the boys were in Taekwondo we went to Best Buy to pick up a second unit for our bedroom.

I also feel like I got along done. Bobby has a 4 day weekend (mandatory telecommute days), so when Matthew was napping I was able to go to the boys’ school, the bank, the vet, Goodwill, Bed Bath & Beyond, and to the grocery store.

Tomorrow, Bobby is talking about taking the boys to a Taekwondo state tournament a few towns over. Our school will be in it, but I think it would be a lot of fun for the boys to see a competition. Master Bell worked the kids so hard tonight, he was having them do all sorts of push ups… diamond, knuckle, finger, bounce and clap, etc. I treated the kids to a big meal, chicken Parmesan, Alfredo, french bread, a baked potato, and fresh broccoli and cheese. They chose to go to bed early, poor kids.
