Blissfully Chaotic

A few weeks ago I described a situation as blissfully chaotic to my friend Terri and she thought I was maybe a bit blissfully insane.

I think it could explain my own home today. Matthew is walking around without pants (just a onsie & a diaper) and a sock on his right hand. Austin & Christopher are doing homework if you can call it that. I keep having to remind them to stay on track and quit talking. Matthew and I are learning our signs and animal noises for pig, horse and cow today. He seems to have the sounds down, but the signs are kind of hard. He already signs bird, duck, cat, fish, and dog.

Chloe is rolling around on her back trying to scratch an itch, I swear my Golden can take up an entire room.

Ugh, this kid!!

…is driving me insane! He forgot his back pack at home today so he did not have his homework to turn in. He also did not have his math book and could not complete any of his assignments in class.

If that is not enough… after all the hooplah over the last week about him losing his reading book… he cannot find his reading book!!! I could just scream, I swear this kid is going to be the death of me.

Manah-Manah, doo doo – doo doo doo

Matthew got a toy for Valentines day that plays the Manah-Manah song, it is a little pink monster that sings this song loud whenever you push the button on its foot. He has learned to work it himself, and he does… constantly. This song is like baby crack, he just cannot get enough.

[I have never tried embedding with dropshots video, so hopefully it works, but here is a video I took of him back in February of him & his Manah Manah toy.]
Lately he has been abusing the power of the Manah Manah and driving us all insane… I am sure you can imagine… it is all Manah Manah, all the time. I think by now we are all ready for the toy to somehow disappear. Heaven save us!!!!

It’s all about Christopher.

In my quest to keep Christopher on track in his studies to help him stay more organized in schoolwork I found this article titled Help Your Child Yet Organized. I am not sure how much help it has been, he has been working on his homework for over an hour now, but in his defense he did have math homework… however his teacher does not assign homework, except for reading and journaling (like a daily mini book report), and if he has homework it is because he neglected to do it in class. I think the conference on Thursday night is going to be very insightful… same with his neuropsychology testing, starting on January 23rd.
