I have always loved Pink Floyd, as far as I can remember “Pinky” as I used to call them was present in my memories of childhood. I also remember watching the Wizard of Oz in Phoenix at my Aunt & Uncles house and it scaring the crap out of me, yet I had some dark fascination with the movie. That is why I am excited about The Dark Side of OZ DVD.

I probably heard about the synchronicity of Pink Floyd’s greatest album ever, The Dark Side of the Moon, and the movie The Wizard of OZ about 10 years ago. Basically people say that if you play the movie and the CD at the same time, events from the movie and the CD sync together to form a beautiful double story, sometimes called The Dark Side of the Rainbow.

Well, tomorrow the van goes back to the mechanic again for the 4th time in the two years I have owned it. I. Hate. This. VAN!! Anyone want to take over payments for my piece of crap van??
So anyways, tomorrow we have to drop off the van nice at early so they can have it all day long and maybe tell me why my check engine light is on yet again, or why it is still leaking oil, or why the engine is leaking. I am so frustrated with this car!

I have always had a love of photography ever since I was a little girl. My dad is a big shutter bug and even taught me how to develop my own black and whites.
I really like this new website I ran across today called www.photographycorner.com This website has forums where people can share pictures, tips, ideas, etc. I will be printing out some of the articles in the resources section, especially ones on how to make my high end digital camera perform to its highest potential.
The directory section has links of affiliates and partners. Of course my favorite sections of all are the galleries, the Photo of the Month and the Contest Corner Challenge. Some of the photographs on this webpage are incredible, I really hope that I can take my photography to that level eventually.

Sorry guys, nothing witty or funny to say right now. I have spent the last hour setting up my domain. Expect a lot more to come when I have my official ‘grand-opening’. A lot of big things to come as I slowly move my blog over, but for now my ‘main blog’ will remain http://sumnerrain.blogspot.com.

I love my ‘dates’ with Bobby. We met a Circuit City to get Bobby a 4mb portable hard drive that was on sale for $29, and on the way out saw the first person in line for a PS3… plans on waiting 3 days. I almost want to go to the release just to be a witness to all the chaos. At first glance, I thought he might have been a bum, he was all bundled up with a cardboard sign… but the sign read “3 days left until daddy gets a PS3!”
After shopping we headed to the Olive Garden for lunch and had a nice meal. Matthew learned how to slurp noodles, it was pretty cute. After lunch we went our separate ways; he went back to work, I headed home. Matthew, of course, fell asleep 2 blocks from home. This is something that he is famous for and it is SO annoying.

With my Grandpa and his recent health problems, he is getting a ton of support. My mom just returned from a week long visit with him. His daughters were both there while he was in the hospital. It is no secret that being surrounded by a loving support team can really help someone bounce back. When you cannot be there though, these Virtual Cheering Squad boxes, from www.voicequilt.com, are a unique way to personalize your own message, or just to let someone know you care.

Matthew loves Sesame Street, I mean he LOVES it more than anything else. The theme song comes on and he goes nuts… running and dancing and singing. Sesame Street = baby crack.
A couple weeks ago he picked up a new word, and it sounded much like Ahhh – ohhhh. If you have ever seen ‘Meet the Fockers’ it sounded much like when the baby was saying ‘ass–hooole’.
I finally put two and two together and figured out he was saying ehh-moh which meant Elmo. Either he wants to play with his Elmo toy (which we just had to get after a trip recently to Toys R’ Us) or he wants us to turn on Sesame Street on TV (which we TiVo for him).
Well this morning after breakfast he brought me the remote and started asking ehh-moh over and over. I gave in only because I was busy making dinner for tonight and did not want him underfoot as I was boiling beans and browning hamburger for chili.

With home ownership comes home improvement and the most dramatic and inexpensive home improvements is painting. We have painted five rooms and have several more to go. Before I could get serious about painting, I had to get a nice quality conversion ladder, much like the little giant ladders. The reason why I love conversion ladder safety before you balance 8 feer off the ground with a roller in one hand and a paint tray in the other! Happy painting!

It really surprises me how cheap houses are in the South; Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas, South Carolina, Georgia… you get the drift.
I could sell my house and get the one above for the same price, this one is a 5 Bedroom, 3 Bath home with 2,530 Sq. living space on Ft.0.38 Acres. The home has
- Master bedroom is 14×16
- Living room is 20×14
- Dining room is 12×11
- Kitchen is 11×20
- Den is 16×14
- 2 fireplaces
- Spa/hot tub(s)
- 3 car garage
- Heating features: Central, Electric Central air conditioning
- Interior features: Carpet, Finished basement, Formal dining rm, Microwave, Pantry, Security feats, Storage rm, Stove, Utility rm, Vinyl flrs, Wood flrs
- Exterior features: Above ground pool, Deck, Fenced, Level lot, Lot is less than 1/2 acre, Public sewer srvc, Public water supply
Too bad the only places open for a transfer in Bobby’s company right now are in Indiana (ACK! NO!) or California; where houses are WAY more expensive than Colorado. Of course as soon as I typed this Orville Redenbacher mentions Indiana (near Austin’s Bio-Mom’s town even). Ask me again once the adoption is final, then maybe I would reconsider Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Terri finally convinced me to join MyLot, a place where you can get paid for talking with other users through a question & answer platform. My relationship with MyLot is bittersweet, I know I won’t get rich, but it’s to get paid. I am meeting some nice people, but there is also a lot of closed mindedness or just plain stupidity. Overall, it is a decent little time killer.
