Yes, FIVE!! OMG I am so irritated! So, I called my insurance again to see if the ‘second referral’ made it to my insurance company. I somehow doubt they are being made at all. They looked back in the records to see if any have been made. Well, my OB/GYN tried to get a referral made back in October, but they denied it because I guess they did not feel they had the authority to give me a referral.
So I left another message, this one detailed with the fax number of my insurance and my medical record number. They close at noon today so I doubt anything will be done about it. As soon as the baby naps I am going to start calling other practices. He has been crabby since the moment he woke up and I don’t dare try to call anyone with him hanging on my jeans and crying.
On a brighter note, Christopher’s specialist called to tell me that his neurologist submitted the written dictation he needed to send to the insurance company in order to get the testing at the neuropsychologist covered at the end of January.
