Yes, I know, I have been MIA this weekend, but I have been SUPER busy.
It started with family cleanup day, where we blasted tunes and did some much needed deep cleaning… trim washing, door scrubbing, stair vacuuming, house love. Things you don’t normally do like vacuum under the refrigerator or wash light fixtures.
Around 5 pm we had friends over; the same couple who hosted us last week and the other couple that was there too. So this time it was 3 toddlers fighting over our toys and 4 8-10 yr olds playing with Bobby’s xbox, the gamboys, gamecube, and toys. We made way too much food, had too much fun, and stayed up way too late. We were up until 2 am playing Phase 10, a card game that reminds me of a cross between Uno & Rummy. After dishes were loaded in the dishwasher I crawled into bed and just laid there. Oh! I forgot to mention we only had two kids last nigh, Austin went home with one of the couples for an impromptu sleepover.
Bobby let me sleep in this morning until 10 am, I wish I had actually gotten more than just a few hours of sleep, but I was not going to lay there wishing I could sleep. The table was delivered this morning around 11 and it much bigger than it looked in the store (isn’t it always?) but it looks so nice, and Matthew LOVES climbing up on the chairs. The table is tall and the chairs are barstools, so I am quite impressed he can get up there. Last night I was so mad that I did not have my new table… I mean how difficult is a dinner party with a dinky table that only sits 4 comfortably.
So that is my excuse for lack up posts.
