Up to my ears in paperwork

Well, I have been putting off some paperwork for a while… I finally got it all in, some was paperwork that I recieved recently… like the paperwork I needed to send back to the attorney for Austin’s birth certificate, some I have been sitting on for a few days, like the paperwork to child support enforcement, some I did not need to do, like the letter I sent to Austin’s Birth Mom. I also paid the mortgage, sent a letter to a credit card company I did not know was still open to close my account. I sent back some paperwork the insurance company that they needed me to fill out, and sent a copy of Austin’s insurance card to the billing company who billed the wrong company, and then called my local bank to have them issue me a login number so I can balance my account online like I do my main bank.

So now I am poorer and out of stamps, but it sure feels great to finally have it all done.

I feel so dirty

I got a virus today, a worm from clicking on a link in Yahoo! IM. If you got an IM from me for a geocities website, DO NOT OPEN IT!! It will ask you for yout Yahoo log in information and then infect your computer with a worm. Yahoo will then tell you that you have beel logged on in another location and log you off, this is where the worm takes over and IMs everyone on your buddy list the same link that infected you. I am so sorry for anyone who may have gotten infected. Make sure your virus software is up to date, do an online virus scan, and change your passwords if you think you may have been infected. Also, before you open a link from even your friends, you know what the link is for and that it is ligit.

Living with a toddler

Sometimes I wonder what planet my toddler is from, he is so difficult to read at times.  He LOVES taking showers with my husband or I, but he cannot stand to get wet.  He loves his hair washed, but cannot stand when you rinse it.

I do love how I can just casually say “what is the number of the day?” or “it’s the number of the day” and he pipes up “hey-hey-hey-hey” in a raspy voice.  If you have no clue to what I am talking about, this is a Sesame Street reference where they sing “hey hey hey hey, it’s the number of the day” which I often sing to Matthew to make him laugh.

Matthew also has some oddities that I have mentioned on my other blog with his food and drink.  For one, he will only eat string cheese that is partially unwrapped, water that is in a cup without a lid, or crackers/cereal that has been removed from the box him, not me.

Matthew_CarHis new thing he is doing is tone change… when he pretends he speaks in a deep throaty voice, like when he is playing in his car and telling us “bye-bye”.  I am not sure if the voice change is him trying to make sure he knows he is playing, or if he is trying to act like an adult.  Whatever the cause, it is very funny.  He sounds so manly, almost growl-like.

Whatever the case may be, toddlers are a hoot!  What silly toddler stories do you have?
