Bummed

Do you ever have one of those days when you have something happen that makes you feel so let down that you just want to go back today because your day just feels ruined?

Today is one of those days. I am still feverish, so that is not helping; but because of this weather from hell my appointment with the RE was cancelled. I had my hopes up because the answering machine said they were opening back up at noon today. I now just want to go to bed and call it a day. I am supposed to have a friend over this afternoon so she can use my kitchen for baking and I get some of the goodies in return, but if it keeps snowing, there will be no way we can go pick her up. Honestly with the mood I am in, I could honestly care less.

I need to get out of this funk, everything/everyone is pissing me off, from the kids who have cabin fever from their second day home in a row, to the dog who thinks she belongs up my butt.

Blizzard

Well, I guess I can take back what I said about my infertility appointment not being canceled, I have a feeling it will be rescheduled due to the blizzard we are having. Oh joy!

I am also sick, I started getting dizzy last night and started running a fever of about 101.6, I went to bed early and stayed in bed until about 3. I refuse to take anything for it because I want this fever to kill whatever it is my body is fighting, I sure do feel yucky though.

I was also planning on doing all my Christmas baking tomorrow also, but unless this weather clears up and I start feeling better I don’t see that happening either.

5 things Meme

Well, I have been tagged by Terri who dared me to come up with 5 things about me that you all don’t know. Well, this is going to be pretty tough because my life is pretty much an open book.

  1. When I was a child, I had a vivid imagination… I used to tell people my name was Babette, and I had two imaginary friends, my “baby” and a cat named Mr. Meemer. (my dad, a lawyer, was working in misdemeanors at the time, this is where Mr. Meemer got his name).
  2. I am afraid of the dark, and will make a trip upstairs to turn on my bedroom light before I turn off my kitchen light. I usually use the hall light, but it is burnt out.
  3. I started combination classes when I was in the 3rd grade, basically I was in a 3rd/4th grade class being taught 4th grade work. When I got to middle school, I was in a gifted program where I could work at my own pace and I used that as an excuse not to work so hard. When we moved to another middle school, they refused to test me and put me in basic classes and I refused to work since I had finished “basic math” in 6th grade and was already at the pre-algebra level. I scored 100% in advanced classes, but failed basic classes because the work did not challenge me. I started college at 16, but skipped class so much, or had poor study skills I only earned 6 credits before I dropped out at 17 and got my GED.
  4. I lived on the streets for 3 months before I met Bobby. I stayed at a flop house called “HatePunk” because punks and skinheads lived there. Bobby asked me to move in with him the same day we started dating because he feared for my safety.
  5. I love moving, when Bobby and I started dating we lived in 6 different places in the first year because I would get bored and we would move to a different unit in the apartment complex (so as not to break our lease). I have lived in my house for 2 years, but I am ready to sell it and move because I am getting the movers itch again. I only remember living in 3 houses when I was a kid, and I only switched schools once, so I am not sure where this movers itch comes from.

Ok, now comes the fun part, this is where I get to spread this love like a bad disease.

Puzzle Piece

Here you have it ladies and gentlemen, another piece of the Pay Per Post Rock Startup puzzle. RockStartup.com is the reality show website that shows the behind the scene action that we posties don’t get to see. I have to say, it looks a lot harder running a web 2.0 company than I would have imagined. I mean I knew it would not be simple, but I cannot imagine working such long hours and living in and out of hotel rooms like Ted does.

Anyways, here is another puzzle piece, good luck to anyone who can collect all the pieces, put them together and then be the first one to post it on their blog. They could be the lucky winner of $1,000 big ones!

Cancelled

My Infertility seminar was cancelled today because we were supposed to get 4-6 inches of snow. Of course now there is no snow (it blew light snow for 15 minutes but it did not stick), and the next available seminar is the SAME DAY that Christopher has his neuro testing next month… something I have been waiting for since September….

I am not too worried about it, I know how to make babies… I just can’t do it when I want.

Grrrrrrr

I am so frustrated with a situation going on in my personal life. My poor husband, and Terri, are getting the most of my bitching, but if you want to hear all about it, email or IM me. I refuse to talk about it here on my blog, to protect the privacy of the other person involved, but its pretty petty (on the other person’s part).

PS. This has nothing to do with my family, my inlaws, or any of my friend’s, so don’t worry! :)

Forgive the ugly layout

Blogger seems to be having some “issues” and wants to make my entire blog two inches wide. This layout is fugly, but it is more functional than the old one. When they fix themselves, I will revert back to my old look.

The issue is fixed, the layout is back to normal, but blogger is still having occasional issues.

Yellow Belts

Forgive me in advance for the quality, I asked daddy if he would take the pictures for me and I think a little baby “helped” by turning the knobs and thus changing the settings of the picture/flash, from the looks of it, the setting was for low light. I used photoshop to make them look the best that I can, but there is only so much I could do. As always, click the images for a larger picture.

PPP Puzzle

RockStartup.com is having a fun little contest worth $1,000 for the winner who is the first person to collect, reassemble and post all of the puzzle pieces together on their blog. There are 30 pieces that assemble for a sneak peak of the upcoming Vegas episode! If you have not seen it, you can view it HERE. I am excited about this episode because it hopefully shows part of my friend Julie’s wedding, I cannot think of a more deserving couple. I guess what happens in Vegas, does not always stay in Vegas when Pay Per Post and a video camera is involved. They don’t call it ‘Sin City’ for nothing!

Missing iPod

Well, Bobby could not find his iPod today, he searched a good two hours for it and when he was running out the door decided to go check my van just to cover all his bases… there is was, in my glovebox where he left it a few weeks back (neither one of us can remember now WHY he had it in my van since his headphones were not out there. I was irritated because I just got him iPod speakers for Christmad, and his iPod would not be cheap to replace. Silly man.
