Having a puppy is like having a baby again.

But not a new baby, as she does not need held all the time, and is not up every 3 hours… but maybe a 3 month old baby that sleeps mostly through the night, plays for part of the day, and sleeps a lot of the time still in the day. I am only getting up once in the night to take her out, usually at dawn. I am looking forward to her playing a bit more, going on walks with us, and of course being able to be lose in the house when we are away.

Resolve to Live Healthier

With the New Years, many people have made resolutions to get healthy, eat right, lose weight, and/or get in shape. I ran across this blog that has some GREAT articles written by a personal trainer on healthy living, and has many different topics to include: 10 Tips to Starting a Fitness Program in 2007, Healthy Eating in a Mexican Restaurant, Five Benefits of Practicing Yoga, 20 Ways to Squeeze Exercise Into Your Hectic Schedule.

I really liked the Mexican Restaurant article because it reminds me that you don’t have to give up the foods you love, you just need to compromise and make wiser choices. My favorite food at a Mexican Restaurant is chili relleno, which is a jalapeno stuffed with cheese and fried in egg batter. Well, a healthier and just as tasty alternative would be chicken or steak fajitas; it would taste just as good, but without the extra fat and calories from deep frying or cheese. It is easy diet changes like that which can really help improve my diet; because there is no such thing as being too healthy.

So even though I do not believe in making New Years resolutions, I am always trying to make small changes to improve myself. So if you are looking to improve yourself, I suggest you visit this site, and read the archives for a plethora of great advice, articles, and experience.

Update on the Game

Well, I did not lose my mind, the children’s game was never delivered.  So sorry mom, I won’t be joining you in your journey of memory loss.

So a couple days ago I got an email from Best Buy that says they have received my return and refunded the price.  I was pissed!  I called them up and they first tried to tell me that the post office said the address was unknown, which was bullshit..especially because I get stuff from Best Buy weekly, from Reward Zone offers, to our Best Buy credit card statements.  Then he told me it was “lost in the mail”, which I am not sure it right either.  So I had it re-sent and hopefully this time we won’t have a blizzard slowing our mail down.  Because of the holiday, it probably won’t be picked up by UPS until Tuesday or Wednesday, but this time I will know where it is and stay on top of it…

Orlando Vacation

My goal sometime in the future is to take a Disney Vacation to Disney World. Bobby and the boys have never been to Disney, and unfortunately we do not live close the either theme park. I plan on using an agency, like Disney Tickets, to find the best deal in tickets for a long term stay and multiple parks. Something like a 10-14 day park hop where I can visit all the attractions like Universal Studios, Kennedy Space Center, Sea World, and all the various water parks, and dinner shows. I plan to make it the vacation of a lifetime, something we will all remember.

Washer Woes

My wash machine may need a visit from the repair man. I am so glad we got the extended warranty because this will be visit #2. Lately, when we wash laundry, it has been VERY loud when it is on spin cycle. My clothes are still getting clean, so I am happy about that, but I think I will be calling someone Tuesday morning just to check it out to MAKE SURE it is OK, since my warranty covers all visits by the repair person. It is still frustrating because my washer IS only 2 years old.
