I was born in Montana, but moved to Washington when I was a year old. I still had most of my family in Montana so many weekends we would leave Friday at 5pm, drive to Montana arriving at 10 or 11pm (depending on who we were visiting) and then leaving Sunday afternoon to return home. For the first few years of my life, Idaho was just the state we passed through on the way to see my grandparents, aunts & uncles, or oldest sister.
Then my mom’s job moved from Spokane, to Coeur d’alene, and I would spend many summers going to work with her; and Idaho became the place my mom worked. Then my parent’s purchased some lake-front property in Idaho and it became where we would eventually have a cabin. They later sold this property and bought a larger piece of property, minutes from a different lake and they are building a big beautiful cabin which will soon be their retirement home.
When we were thinking of moving, family were telling us to look into buying a house in Post Fall Idaho, just minutes from Spokane Valley and a few hours from Bobby’s family. We seriously considered it until we learned how fast Idaho is growing and how fast certain areas are growing. Real estate is booming like crazy and certain cities like Boise are really making a name for themselves. Now would be the time to get into the market, Boise real estate is really taking off and will soon catch up with other homes in larger cities. Now would be the time to get in before the homes surpass the prices of Post Falls, or Coeur d’alene.
