My little messenger

Last night I was vacuuming the front room and Bobby was in the livingroom playing a video game on his laptop. Bobby had called me to ask me a question and I could not hear him; this concerned Matthew as he sucked up his fear of the vacuum and came running to me. He looked almost frantic when he came running to me saying “MOM!!” pointing to the livingroom and then said “DAD!” he then grabbed my hand pulling me to the other room and would not settle down until I found out what it was Bobby needed. He was then so proud of himself, strutting around like a proud peacock.

Website Visibility

Upon opening my own domain (www.sumnerrain.com) one of the things I struggle with the most is increasing visibility, hits, and page rank. The largest part of website visibility is to have your website easily found in the various search engines, such as Google, MSN, Yahoo, Ask, etc. This is very important because people tend to only click on the top few websites when they put search parameters into a search engine. If your website is on page nine, third website from the bottom, it is very unlikely you will get any hits off someones search for “purple pickled onions” even if your site is solely devoted to the topic. The lower your rank, the lower your page rank, the lower your visibility. There are a number of ways to increase your visibility to include Search Engine Submission At Servicewrap.Net, submitting your website to the major search engines, get people to directly link to your website, experiment with pay per click advertising, or make sure your website is listed on your email, business cards, letterheads, etc.

I have GOT to go to bed earlier!

So I finally fell asleep last night around 2-3am and the puppy wakes me to go potty at 5am, so I get up, so stand outside while she potties, barefoot in snow. I finally fall back asleep around 6am when Bobby’s alarm starts going off less than an hour later; he was in the shower, he had hit the snooze button and forgotten about it. I turned if off and tried to go back to sleep when the puppy decided she wanted another potty break. As I am coming inside with her, I hear Matthew cry… darn it! Today is my last day to sleep in, tomorrow the kids go back to school and then it is 6am mornings again.
