Manage Your Time!

Time management has always been a sore spot for me. I was always being told that I need to be more more organized, I need to plan my projects better, and I need to learn to prioritize and most importantly delegate.

I ran across this web page which has helpful time management skills; some of which I am already doing, some of which I never thought about. Some of the skills, like writing lists and prioritizing, I do, but not effectively. Slowly I am learning to organize my home more. I really think I could use an IKEA store here though.

Time management is so important to almost everyone. A mom needs to be able to coordinate her day to care for the children, while keeping the house habitable, children fed, errands ran, and finding time to care for or pamper themselves. Being good at organizing ones tasks sets a good example on the little ones, who often struggle with organization skills of their own.

The career man or woman needs to know how to delegate tasks, organize projects and meet deadlines. Right now my husband is trying to balance teaching classes and taking classes and then come home and help out the family. Having effective time management skills is important for the young and old, for working people or full time parents.

Nothing like fresh barf in the morning

I have been up an hour and I have already been spit up on, drooled on, pooped on. I have already had to take something for my headache and yell at dogs. I am SO freaking tired and as soon as everyone leaves for school and work I may lay back down for an hour. A. has been tired since 6:30, but she got mad at 7:00 after spitting up and swallowed some air, then screamed for the next 15 minutes until she started nodding off in my lap. When I laid her down she got fussy and could not be consuled, so I rocked her and let her scream herself to sleep (about 2 minutes), I just cannot hold her all morning. I hate this, Matthew only cries before bed maybe once a month and it is never high pitched bloody murder.

On a bright note, Terri’s birthday is today! Go wish her a happy birthday, and admire her beautiful flowers.

Speaking of cords…

While I am on the subject of cords that are way too short, I wanted to mention this website that offers hdmi cables, talk about the answer to our problem! See, the main problem is that Bobby’s tower is about 1 inch too tall for his desk, so I imagine I will be very grateful for TCA’s huge collection of cables. While you are there, check out these HDMI wall plates, very cool!

Oh me, oh my.

I am such a spazz, while I was downstairs doing my amended tax returns (read all about it here), I somehow managed to break the keyboard of Bobby’s desktop. The cord has always been too short, so either I broke the power cord, or I ruined the plug-in port. Either way, Bobby’s computer is temporarily useless until we pull a spare keyboard out of storage; hopefully this one has a longer cord!
