Sweetness overload
Isis is 14 weeks old today (3 months + 6 days) and is the funniest little pup, she is a long-legged clumsy clown. She flies through the house when she is playing, often falling down because her legs get out from under her.
She absolutely ADORES Chloe, and the feeling is mutual. These two are best buddies, and sometimes act like sisters, or mom and daughter. They play rough, but their bond is more fierce than their bite and can often be seen cuddling each other. Isis will lay on Chloe, and Chloe will wrap her front paws around her.
I also love how expressive she is, always perking up those comically big ears that flop all over the place, tilting her head, and furrowing her brow. Despite how thin she is, she eats a TON (and does not have worms, she is just metabolizing it fast) she is up to five cups a day, 3 3/4ths of those being a high-bulk food which is fed in smaller quantities than a low-quality food.
She is also a REALLY good dog. She has not had an accident (other than the occasional dribble when she gets too excited) in weeks. She comes when she is called, she does not resist when we take her to bed or put her in the bathroom when we leave. She sleeps on a dog bed in our room and does not whine, chew or snoop… if she wakes up before I do and needs to go outside, she will let us know by nuzzling us awake. She can get a bit hyper in the house, especially after breakfast, or when she comes in from outside, but my four year old Golden does the same. We are also having a chewing issue when she is in the bathroom when we are gone; we have a piece of trim that warped and split open and she is “helping it” along. I am not too upset, it needed replaced anyways, but we do need to make sure she has a rawhide bone when we leave and a fresh coat of bitter apple.
So there is the update, we are totally in love with our little girl, and I could not be happier with both of my dogs!
