This week’s theme is: Gross.
Well, the picture I chose to use is of my son Matthew about 6 weeks ago trying to get his molars in. Look at his shirt, that is ALL DROOL! If you could see farther down you would see that it goes all the way to his jeans!

Forgive me for making photo hunter all about the little one, but I swear his brothers are just as gross. Here are some small ones you can click on to enlarge.
This gross picture is Christopher showing off his stomach after wolfing down at least 4 pieces of chicken… here are two I tried to arrange in a cross bone pattern.
This picture is of Austin’s back last year after being diagnosed with shingles… a painful nerve infection. These are just on his back, they also wrapped around his side and on the front of his chest. I decided not to post them too because I did not want 2/3rd of my sons showing off their nipples.
This week’s theme is: Wild.
I had a hard time thinking of what to chose for this week’s theme. I thought of catching the puppy at play, or wildflowers, but I could not resist this darling picture of this wild ferocious lion. This is Matthew at 18 months on Halloween.

This week’s theme is: Technology
Well, this may not be the most exciting picture but it is my Toshiba Satellite A105-S4094.
The processor is an Intel Core Duo T2250 / 1.73 GHz, 1 x 1 GB + 512 MB RAM, the Hard Drive. has 120 GB, and it has a double-layer DVD burner; a wide 15.4-inch display with a 1,280×800 native resolution, and various types of Wi-Fi cards.
Since I listen to so much music, I have a pair of USB powered external Logitech speakers, an external wireless mouse, and I put it on a cooling pad which includes 4 extra USB ports (for a total of 8).
The background image on the screen is the Queen Victoria Building, Sydney.
Today’s theme is: Memory.
My memory I chose is of my husband, Bobby’s, 8 years of service in the US Army. These years made up a large portion of our lives, and even though we had many hardships while serving, his years in the Military brought us to where we are today.

Bobby left for the Army in November 1997, when our son Christopher was just 16 days old. He saw him again 1 months later for Christmas (when this picture was taken) and then not again until our son was nearly 6 months old.

In 2002-2004 Bobby spent two years overseas; one year in S. Korea (near the N. Korea border) and then 2 weeks after we were reunited in Colorado, he left for a year in Iraq. This picture was taken during his R&R from Iraq, notice how underweight he is?

This picture was taken on my birthday, on March 17th, 2004; the day Bobby returned from Iraq. Even though he got home at 11:45pm, those 15 minutes he was home on my birthday was the best birthday gift ever. Sorry the quality is so poor, my old camera did not do well in the dark.

This picture was taken 6 months after he came home from Iraq, while he was in Texas for training. The funny thing about this picture is that he made Sargent right before he left for Iraq, but he did not get the required training until 18 months after he was pinned. This training is supposed to take place before the soldier is pinned; but because of the urgent need to get our troops overseas, he made his rank before the training.

Finally, this picture was taken less than a month after he left the Army, he injured his shoulder in Iraq and after 2 failed surgeries he left the Army on a medical discharge.
I would not change those 8 years for anything. It made our marriage strong, our family close and got him the career he has today. There is nothing like difficult times to strengthen the bond of a family and to remind us how precious the time we have together truly is.

This week’s theme is: NEW, my photo submision is Isis, my new Great Dane pup.

Today we picked up Isis’ new brand of food. We decided on the Canidae because everyone I talked to could only say good things about it. I really expected to pay more since it is the ultra-premium brand, but $33 for a 40 lb bag is not bad at all. The ladies at the feed store adored Isis and pampered her with kisses and snuggles. While I was there, 3 other customers talked to me about there experience with Canadae, so I feel confident in my choice (that and Isis LOVED the taste of the sample she had right there in the store); and plan on switching Chloe over to it eventually so I only have one brand food in the house.

This weeks theme is Lines. I chose this picture because it sums up my week very well, negative. I took this photo yesterday before I was supposed to go to see the Reproductive Endocrinologist. We had to cancel because we were misled by our insurance that it would be covered with a $50 copay, but found out yesterday they only actually cover 50%. At an upwards of $500 a visit, this just is not doable at this time. So like this negative pregnancy test, my heart is negative that we will have another baby.

Ok, I am going to try out this nifty photo of the week website I found, where you post pictures of a specific topic, old or new, as long as they are origionals. This week’s topic is annoying, and I felt this picture expressed Matthew’s feeling so well for the baby jail. He was always annoyed by being placed in hus little cubicle. So, this picture was taken by me, 13 months ago when Matthew was only 8 1/2 months old.
