I just got this beautiful sheepskin that my beautiful girl is just adoring at this online store that I just adore, you may have noticed their link on the side, but they are an awesome source for baby, mom, breastfeeding and cloth diapering needs. Please check out the Nurtured Family store. Their prices, discounts, & shipping policy is very impressive.

And of course I had to share these pictures of my adorable little boy, Matthew:

Isn’t he a cutie???

So, Saturday I was complaining about how my favorite shoes are wearing out and probably died about 2 years ago. I remembered how my friend Tracy just got some darling Birkenstock’s on eBay and decided to test my own luck. I found the most darling slip on tennis shoes, much like my beloved, but dead shoes. The price was right, so I bid and waited. This morning I got the dreaded email from eBay, I was outbid on my auction ending in 3 hours… Wahhh!! So I bid again, and again, and again! When the price of the shoes, plus shipping and handling was within $5 of the retail price, I gave up and went to the manufacturer itself.
This is where it gets fun. When I got there, I saw SO MANY SHOES that I loved!! My one pair of shoes turned into two, then three, then four, and FIVE! Soon my total was almost $250!! I did remove one pair of shoes that were cute, but I could not see myself wearing often. Then I did something I should have done in the first place. I googled “skechers.com coupons” and found an amazing 25% off coupon plus free shipping on dealnews.com. Check out my screen shot below!!

I am so stoked! In about 10 days I will have my brand new shoes without the hassle of eBay if the shoes do not fit right. However I have loved all my Skechers and have always been impressed with the consistent fit, so I am sure I will love them!

Over at payperpost they had their first ever Postie-Patrol. What the heck is a Postie-Patrol, you ask? Well, click the link and see silly! Or, if you want to keep on reading what I am typing I guess I could explain what it was about, seems like watching the video would be easier though. So, basically, PayPerPost had the idea of popping into unsuspecting posties and making them do crazy things, like drink water, eat breakfast or have a scavenger hunt. Then, because they are so CrAzY, if you win the challange, they pay you money! They are crazy, huh? I guess this is just another way for PayPerPost to give us thanks for spreading the love. No, THANK-YOU PayPerPost, we love you!

Who doesn’t like to save money? I have tried other websites that offer multiple coupons, but have not really found any websites I liked; many of the websites had strings attached. I especially liked these Best Buy Coupons, because everyone KNOWS we live at Best Buy. I bet you will find some great deals if you go take a look!

Tonight we saw the movie “Click” with Adam Sandler. I honestly did not expect the movie to be as touching as it was. I expected a fluffy comedy with crude jokes and a thin plot, but instead I got a funny, warm, comedy with a great message,
Michael Newman (Adam Sandler) is living the American dream, a beautiful wife (Kate Beckinsale), two kids, a dog, a house, and a car. He is also a hard working architect who cannot seem to balance work and career well, often placing career first. His boss (David Hasselhoff) is very demanding and expects a lot from him, making this juggling act even more difficult. One night, in frustration that he could not seem to synchronise his home entertainment system he sets out in search of a universal remote and instead finds eccentric inventor, Morty (Christopher Walken), who gives him a remote that controls his television set, as well as the people in his life. As he starts using the remote to fast forward through the unpleasant events in his life, he starts to see how much he is really missing in the process, events that he cannot get back. He fears that his life will spin irreversibly out of control unless he can find a way to get it back.
This movie really appealed to me, on of my writing projects in college for my English 202 class was a paper I wrote about longing to have a remote control that worked on Children, specifically the mute and pause buttons. The difference is my paper focused on the positives, such as replaying milestones like the first steps and the first time Austin called me Mommy. However, the movie “Click” put a unique and interesting spin on the remote’s control that reminds us that absolute power often breeds chaos.
Anyways, the movie is out on DVD, you should check it out, I really enjoyed it, and I hope you will too!

Well, I got most of what I set out to do yesterday… no time for shower or coffee, but I got the carpet clean, the laundry washed, the kitchen cleaned, and my room cleaned. I hooked up the DVR, but that was as far as it got. When Matthew woke up we watched TV in my room together… then I got sucked into my DS game, Big Brain Academy. Then Bobby and the boys got home, and we ate and I started feeling sick, so Matthew and I went upstairs to lay down, and Bobby hooked up his 360 to XBox live and I ended up staying in bed until I went to sleep.
It was overall a pretty mundane day. I did watch a new show on Showtime, they are having their freeview weekend and so I have been recording movies like crazy before they go away… there is this new show I watched, called Dexter, which is about a forensics scientist who is also a serial killer. It was pretty good, but not good enough to order Showtime.
Anyways, I am struggling over my feelings of something that happened today (well yesterday, but I learned this morning)… I probably won’t be blogging on it for a while, if ever, out of respect for the persons involved… If you are on my email groups… I already let you know. If you are family, you also already know. Anyone else, feel free to email me and I will let you in on the big secret.

Austin and I went to
Wag N Wash, it’s like a self service car wash, without quarters, for your dog. I have to say I really enjoyed being able to wash my dog and let someone else worry about the mess, and without killing my back bending over the bathtub. Chloe looks so pretty and smells nice, Austin and I decided we will have to take her more often, maybe every other month, or more. The whole purpose of going to
WnW, was to get a
Furminator like
Gina mentioned in her blog.
I am now a complete Furminator convert, I LOVE that thing! I furminated the dog and the cats today, and then had to re-vacuum the family room after doing so. I cannot imagine how much more I would have gotten outof her had I not had a tweaker as a dog. As soon as she as much as sees a brush, she gets so excited she won’t sit still.
Today has been such a pretty day, the leaves are all yellow and red, but it is still nice and warm during the day. The bikers are all out enjoying the last few nice riding days, we saw a dozen or so in the 15 minutes it took to get to WnW.

Let’s see if I can manage to whip out a quick post before my laptop battery dies in 5 minutes and I lose it all. I am currently writing this from the computer room in the basement where I spent the evening keeping Bobby company while he did his homework. He flies out tomorrow so we have made today a family day. We had BBQ steak and baked potatoes for dinner and then watched Mr. and Mrs. Smith together. We finally made it to the store to do some much needed grocery shopping where I got the famous “three boys huh?” comments.
Oh, I forgot to mention, last night we ate dinner at Musashi’s, a Japanese Steakhouse we LOVE where they cook your meal at the table. We sat at the grill with a young military couple, he was an MP who just got home from Korea and was leaving for Iraq in the morning (sound familiar?), and she was a military wife, who HATES military wives (wow, just like I was). They were the nicest couple and we had a lot in common. They just ADORED Christopher, our human encyclopedia, and they kept encouraging him with all sorts of Trivia. I love meeting new people at Musashi’s, I swear they know just where to seat the people.
Ok, the laptop is just about to hibernate, please excuse any typos.
